What this means
Pack Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 for Maui if the Drug Facts still say zinc oxide 17% as the only active, or Spritz if it still says 20%. Palau is not the problem here. There is no phenoxyethanol on either list. The mix-up is the older Native sunscreen. In 2021 the brand launched at 20% zinc and called that bottle non-nano. This lotion is 17%, and Native does not repeat that claim on either current page. A strict lab list still treats them as mixed. That is not a Maui rule. If your tube says 20% zinc and is a lotion, that is the older formula, not this Spritz.

Maui and the Big Island share the mineral-only test. Palau can still fail a zinc lotion on phenoxyethanol. HEL mixed usually means nano is not disclosed.

The 17% zinc Sunscreen Lotion and the 20% zinc Spritz are legal on Maui. Palau is fine. HEL is mixed because these formulas do not claim non-nano. The 2021 20% lotion did.
Is Native OK in Hawaii?
Yes, on Maui and the Big Island, if zinc oxide is the only active. Statewide Act 104 also passes. A 20% zinc lotion is the older formula. The current Spritz is 20% zinc and a different bottle.
Is Native mineral or chemical?
Mineral. The current Sunscreen Lotion is zinc oxide 17%. Spritz is zinc oxide 20%.
Is Native non-nano zinc?
The 2021 sunscreen was 20% non-nano zinc, per Native at launch. The current Sunscreen Lotion is 17% and Spritz is 20%. Neither page repeats that claim. We do not guess particle size.
