Highlighted ingredients are regulated somewhere; red ones are restricted in at least one location we track. Dotted ones are listed below.

Fragrance allergens, essential oils and alcohol

  • Drying alcohol: Alcohol Denat.
  • Fragrance: listed as “Fragrance”. US labels don’t have to name the allergens inside a fragrance, so there may be more than this list shows.

The EU requires these allergens to be named on cosmetic labels above 0.001% in leave-on products (Regulation 1223/2009, Annex III). They can cause skin reactions in people who are sensitized; they don’t affect whether a sunscreen is legal anywhere we track.

Note: Previous zinc oxide formula of Eryfotona Ageless (labeled '100% mineral tinted sunscreen', water resistant 40 minutes). Ingredients from FDA DailyMed (setid a58ac2ed-31b7-4a86-83ca-7630b0c9ea6f). The same list still appears as the ingredient text on isdin.com/us Eryfotona Ageless Tinted pages, but those pages now sell the titanium dioxide reformulation. Marked discontinued because isdin.com/us has switched to the new carton; the DailyMed label is still listed, so retail stock may remain.

Common questions about ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50

Is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 reef safe?

“Reef safe” isn’t a regulated label claim, so we answer by law instead. It is allowed under the sunscreen laws of Hawaii statewide, Maui County, Hawaiʻi County (Big Island), the U.S. Virgin Islands, Aruba, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands and Thailand's national parks, but not in Palau. Its only UV filters are minerals, which every law we track permits.

Is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 legal in Hawaii?

Under Hawaii’s statewide law (Act 104, which bans oxybenzone and octinoxate) it is allowed. In Maui County (Maui, Molokaʻi, Lānaʻi), which allows only mineral sunscreens, it is allowed. In Hawaiʻi County (the Big Island), which has a mineral-only rule for sales, it is allowed. Oʻahu and Kauaʻi have no county rule, so only the statewide law applies there.

Where is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 not allowed?

Palau: it contains phenoxyethanol, which is not allowed there.

Does ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 contain oxybenzone?

No. It contains neither oxybenzone nor octinoxate, the two chemicals banned under Hawaii’s statewide law.

Is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 a mineral or chemical sunscreen?

Mineral. Its UV filter is zinc oxide 10.7%.

Is the zinc oxide in ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 non-nano?

Its Drug Facts ingredient list doesn’t state particle size, and US labels aren’t required to. Many brands make non-nano claims elsewhere on the pack or website. No sunscreen law we track regulates nano particles.

Is ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 water resistant?

Yes, for up to 40 minutes of swimming or sweating, according to its label. Reapply after 40 minutes in the water, immediately after towel drying, and at least every 2 hours.

What is the NDC for ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50?

ISDIN Eryfotona Ageless Ultralight Emulsion SPF 50 is listed with the FDA under National Drug Code 69494-003. The NDC identifies this sunscreen on its FDA drug label (DailyMed); package sizes carry longer package NDCs.
